Faye Ford Hildebrandt, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, July 5, 2016 close to a number of the many people who loved her. She was resident of Colorado Springs since 1961, when she moved here with her husband Fred and son Jeff.
Faye was born in Clinton, Oklahoma on June 10, 1929 to Arnold and Jewel Ford. In 1943, with the rest of her family, she moved to Geyserville, California where she later graduated from Geyserville Union High School as class valedictorian. After high school she worked for the Social Security Administration and Bank of America before marrying Fred Hildebrandt in…. As a young couple they spent time in Minneapolis and New York before moving to Colorado Springs where they both developed a number of close, enduring friendships. Faye’s life was centered around books, ideas, conversation, family, and her deep, quiet faith. She’ll be in the hearts of all of us who knew her forever, because it is pretty much safe to say, to know Faye, was to love Faye. She was just kind of lucky that way.
Faye is survived by her son, William Jeffrey Hildebrandt and his wife Jennifer; three grandsons, Jeremy (Nikita) Hildebrandt, Chris Hildebrandt and Ryan Hildebrandt; two great-grandchildren, Isabella and Konrad; sisters Louise ______, Thelma Adams, Shirley Anderson, Leslie McFadden and brother Henry Ford. Faye was preceded in death by her husband Fred H Hildebrandt; brother Marvin Ford and sisters Mary Mitch?, Nadine Ford or Evans, Rube Ashby.
A number of small personal remembrances will be held, at various places in the universe, to remember her life.
